The catastrophic situation that India is presently facing with the second wave of COVID-19, numbers hitting an all time high with more than 400,000 cases reported in a single day (April.30.2021) and numbers are spiking.

This has overwhelmed India’s health care system. With the shortage of O2, medical equipment, beds, etc, it became a life and death situation. Due to significant inequalities, now more obvious than ever, the country’s poor have a hard time being cared for. Among them, the daily wage laborers who cannot go to work during the 2 week’s isolation period are unable to provide for their families who depend on them.

SOPAR-Bala Vikasa’s COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund – will assist the most vulnerable families who are currently in isolation due to COVID infection in India with COVID care Kits (Groceries and Medical supplies).

• Food for daily wage laborers that have been struck with COVID-19
• Basic medicines, thermometer, pulsometer,
• Masks, sanitizers, soaps, disinfectant
• Water bottles, etc.

Any Amount is greatly appreciated.
